How did you end up at Catalyze and what do you do?
I’ve been working at Catalyze for about 1.5 years now. After completing my Master’s in Social and Organizational Psychology and holding a Bachelor’s in HR and Psychology, I wanted to return to the HR field. I was looking for an organization with a proactive HR team and where employees are been taken care of—a place where I could focus on various aspects of HR, where openness to change and new ideas prevails, and where there’s room for (personal) growth.
In my role as an HR Advisor, I closely collaborate with the Chief People Officer and managers within Catalyze. Additionally, I manage HR systems, work on various HR projects aimed at improving our processes and policies (KPIs, Employee Engagement Survey, Risk Inventory & Evaluation, etc.). I also assist managers and employees by guiding processes, such as performance reviews or absenteeism. I particularly enjoy conducting data analyses, which, in my opinion, is a crucial aspect of HR. Why? To determine where you stand, what course to take, and to assess whether the HR team has been able to make an impact.
Can you describe how you make an impact for your clients in your daily work?
In my daily work, I make an impact by supporting and advising the management within Catalyze and providing guidance to employees on HR-related matters. My goal is to create clear policies and smooth processes, as well as to continuously keep HR on the agenda, thereby helping Catalyze and its employees to grow further.
Can you describe what you like about your team, your colleagues, the collaboration within and the culture of Catalyze?
I love being part of a multidisciplinary team, including the Recruiter (Keerthi), the HR Officer (Kim), the Office Manager (Liselotte), Catering (Wilma), and the Chief People Officer (Myriam). Collaboration levels may vary among team members, but each of us plays a vital role in the organization. Along with Legal and Finance, we, as Staff, form the backbone of the organization. Being one team enables us to quickly adapt, transfer tasks and information more smoothly. Catalyze is a young organization with intelligent and innovative individuals. We have a proactive mindset, and every voice and idea is valued.
