Teamlead Project Management

How did you end up at Catalyze and what do you do?
During my Master’s in Management, Policy Analysis & Entrepreneurship in Health and Life Sciences, I was approached by the Catalyze recruiter, which sparked my interest in the company. After completing my studies, I came across a Project Manager vacancy on LinkedIn and applied for the position. In my daily work at Catalyze, I manage projects that have received funding from the EU. My focus lies on project finances, reporting (non)achieved project results, and fulfilling other obligations towards the EU. I ensure smooth communication within the project and provide advice regarding regulations. As a Teamlead Project Management, I also oversee the project portfolios of my team and offer support to team members as needed.

Can you describe how you make an impact for your clients in your daily work?
My impact on clients is noticeable as I ensure they don’t unnecessarily burden themselves with reporting and EU regulations. Communication and planning between project partners go through me, enabling clients to work more efficiently. I help them maximize their projects by providing financial advice on which costs they can report and preventing incorrect reporting of costs. My knowledge of EU regulations also comes in handy when guiding clients through the process of changes in a project, which can often be time-consuming for them. This ensures momentum within our clients’ projects, aligning with their schedules and gaining approval from the European Union.

Can you describe what you like about your team, your colleagues, the collaboration within and the culture of Catalyze?
What I enjoy about my team at Catalyze is the unique bond we share. We consist of a close-knit team of project managers and science communication advisors, and despite each having our own projects, we communicate a lot and assist each other when needed. The openness and willingness to support one another, even during busy periods, make our team special. Within Catalyze, our department exudes a sense of trust, and colleagues know they can reach out to us with questions about specific projects.

What would you like to say to your future colleagues?
To all my future colleagues, I would like to say: welcome to the team! Catalyze is a fantastic company with a pleasant atmosphere, offering numerous opportunities for self-development and team building. Additionally, social activities and gatherings are organized. I look forward to collaborating and achieving success together!
